The Baale of Igbaja is next to Agbaja in hierarchy in Igbaja Traditional Council. He is one of Igbaja five Kingsmakers. He reports directly to Elese – in – Council.

There is Baale ward which comprises of all Igbaja Compounds from Mogaji to Ogbe at the left side of Okeya – Po – Yaru road that divides the whole Igbaja town to two sides. The right side is Agbaja ward while the left side is Baale ward. In the days of yore when poll tax collection was mandatory, it was the responsibility of Bale to collect poll tax in his ward and pass the proceeds to Elese for transmission to the Local Office or the State Government in Ilorin.
